In their small furniture factory in Schiedam (founded in 1946), the brothers Toon and Martien de Wit mainly designed and produced tubular frame furniture for offices and homes. Inspired by designers from the Bauhaus school, they created furniture in which they strove for ultimate seating comfort and technical perfection. In 1977, manufacturing and sales ended. Their furniture is still very popular among a large audience.
