The history of Spectrum
Born from the need for employment
'T Spectrum comes from the weaving mill of De Ploeg. After the Second World War, the need arises to create employment and the plan is to produce small wooden furniture. The concept is successful and via the Bijenkorf sales point, the world gets to know Martin Visser.
Martin Visser at 't Spectrum
't Spectrum asks him as a designer and head of collection building. Martin Visser knows how to translate customer demand uniquely into a collection of large furniture. A collection that is distinguished by simplicity and use of materials. The success is remarkable and Martin Visser will for years determine the image for the sympathetic brand. The highlight is the sofa bed BR 02.7.
Today, after a restart in 1974, the company is called Spectrum.
