According to his philosophy, a chair focuses on people and not the other way around. “First the person, then the chair.” Harcourt wins many awards and in 1978 is awarded the title “Royal Designer for Industry”. Harcourt's work has been exhibited at iconic institutions worldwide, such as the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
