About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Advisor (m/f) for our showroom in Utrecht. You will be the first point of contact for our customers. With a friendly and professional approach, you guide them through the sales process, proactively identifying their needs and offering the right solutions. You use your product and material knowledge to inform customers about the possibilities. Your tasks also include administrative duties such as preparing sales orders and quotations. Together with your colleagues, you ensure the showroom always looks its best. Flexibility is important — weekend work is part of the job; you’ll be expected to work at least one weekend day per week.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven sales experience; experience in the furniture or interior industry is a plus
• Well-presented, sociable, and customer-oriented
• Strong communication skills – you can listen and persuade
• Good command of the Dutch language
• Affinity with the furniture and style of De Machinekamer

De Machinekamer is in 2006 opgericht en richtte zich oorspronkelijk op vintage meubels. In de loop van de jaren zijn we ons ook gaan toeleggen op het ontwerpen van nieuwe meubels en het opnieuw uitbrengen van oude ontwerpen. Merken van De Machinekamer zijn o.a. Sav & Økse, Galvanitas Compass Collection, Tubax en Dykmeyer. De Machinekamer heeft sinds 2016 een showroom in Zaandam en sinds 2020 ook een showroom in Utrecht. Begin 2025 openden we een nieuwe showroom in Rotterdam. Onze meubels worden nationaal en internationaal verkocht aan consumenten en zakelijke klanten. De Machinekamer bestaat uit een divers team van circa 35 personen.
