Vacancy Sales Advisor

About the position
We are looking for an enthusiastic sales advisor (m/f) for the showroom in Utrecht. You are the point of contact for customers in the store. You conduct sales conversations in a friendly and expert manner, in which you proactively identify the customer's wishes and respond to them appropriately. With your knowledge about the materials and products, you inform customers about the possibilities. The work involves administrative actions, such as drawing up sales orders and quotations. You are also the first point of contact for answering questions by telephone, email and chat. You handle these requests independently and proactively. Together with the sales team, you are responsible for keeping the showroom(s) clean and furnished. Working on weekends is part of it, you are available on average at least one weekend day per week.

We ask:

• Demonstrable sales experience in the furniture industry
• Experience with customer service by email/telephone/chat is a plus
• Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude
• Independent and proactive working attitude. You are solution-oriented and know how to keep an overview
• Good command of the Dutch language
• Available on Saturday and/or Sunday (on average at least 1 weekend day per week)
• Affinity with the furniture of De Machinekamer
• Knowledge of vintage design furniture is an advantage

De Machinekamer is in 2006 opgericht en richtte zich oorspronkelijk op vintage meubels. In de loop van de jaren zijn we ons ook gaan toeleggen op het ontwerpen van nieuwe meubels en het opnieuw uitbrengen van oude ontwerpen. Merken van De Machinekamer zijn o.a. Sav & Økse, Galvanitas Compass Collection, Tubax en Dykmeyer. De Machinekamer heeft sinds 2016 een showroom in Zaandam en sinds 2020 ook een showroom in Utrecht. Begin 2025 openden we een nieuwe showroom in Rotterdam. Onze meubels worden nationaal en internationaal verkocht aan consumenten en zakelijke klanten. De Machinekamer bestaat uit een divers team van circa 35 personen.
