Sales advisor (open application)

About the role
As a sales advisor you are the first point of contact for customers in the showroom. You hold clear and friendly sales conversations, identify customer needs and give the right advice. With your product and material knowledge you inform customers about the options. Your tasks include administrative work such as preparing sales orders and quotations. You also answer questions by phone, email and chat. You work independently and proactively and give customers suitable advice. Together with your colleagues you keep the showroom tidy. We want to connect with sales talent that wants to join our showroom teams. No fixed location required, we decide together what fits.

We ask for:

• MBO working and thinking level
• Proven sales experience. Experience in the furniture sector is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a customer friendly attitude
• Independent and proactive way of working. You are solution oriented and keep a good overview
• Good command of Dutch and English
• Affinity with the furniture of De Machinekamer

De Machinekamer is in 2006 opgericht en richtte zich oorspronkelijk op vintage meubels. In de loop van de jaren zijn we ons ook gaan toeleggen op het ontwerpen van nieuwe meubels en het opnieuw uitbrengen van oude ontwerpen. Merken van De Machinekamer zijn o.a. Sav & Økse, Galvanitas Compass Collection, Tubax en Dykmeyer. De Machinekamer heeft sinds 2016 een showroom in Zaandam en sinds 2020 ook een showroom in Utrecht. Begin 2025 openden we een nieuwe showroom in Rotterdam. Onze meubels worden nationaal en internationaal verkocht aan consumenten en zakelijke klanten. De Machinekamer bestaat uit een divers team van circa 35 personen.
