In their small furniture factory in Schiedam (founded in 1946), the Toon brothers and Martien de Wit mainly designed and produced tubular frame furniture for offices and homes. Inspired by designers from the Bauhaus school, they made furniture in which they strived for the ultimate in seating comfort and technical perfection. In 1977, production and sales were discontinued. Their furniture is still very popular with a large audience.
