In 1956, AR Cordemeyer was appointed designer at Gispen alongside Wim Rietveld. Cordemeyer is involved in many furniture designs from the 1960s and 1970s. Together with W. Rietveld, he is investigating the possibility of mass-producing plastic chairs. The bucket seat 2225 - one of the most famous designs by Cordemeyer - belongs to the BZ (Better Sitting) Norma series. The main features of this series were 'high resistance to aging and dimensional stability'.
